We've grown this from just an idea to a functioning brand. I've been involved in everything from writing, and creative direction, to creating content, the website, branding, packaging, PR, social media, and organizing fundraising events.

IMB has been featured by TV Tokyo, ohbeautifulbeer.com, Cereal Magazine, Monocle Magazine and Communication Arts Magazine. 

In March of 2023, we decided to pass the brand on to our 2016 beneficiary, Mr. Kumagai. He will continue to brew IMB, spread the message of hope, and donate a portion of the profits to those in need. 🙌

The 2011 tsunami destroyed the city of Rikuzentakata and its forest of 70,000 pine trees. Only one tree remained standing, becoming a symbol of hope for all. “Ippon matsu” means “one pine tree.”

IMB is a beer for charity with the goal of helping those living in the aftermath of the 2011 tsunami. All profits are donated to the people and businesses of Rikuzentakata, Japan, to aid ongoing reconstruction efforts.

Net Generation is a new, comprehensive teaching platform for USTA's youth tennis program. It also serves as communication hub, making it easy for parents, coaches and students to talk to each another. 

Along with the overall branding, our team also came up with a suite of innovative teaching tools for instructors and students. Working closely with USTA staff and coaches, we came up with everything from an emoji-based system of encouragement to videos and content that introduce the game of tennis in a completely new way. Everything had to be seamless and fun, with "learning through play" at its core.

The Corolla only had a slight update for this year, so we had to find a new way of showcasing what was pretty much the same car. Instead of focusing on a few new features, we decided to explore the emotional relationships we have with our cars. Our love for the good (reliable and dependable) cars in our lives, versus the stress of the bad ones. ...Good thing with Toyota "Reliability comes standard."

We were also able to take advantage of a very tight media buy for "The Family Crews" show, and cut three, 10-second teasers. A different fun and puzzling teaser played during the first three commercial breaks to build intrigue, with the full version playing during the last break to complete the story.

For the Prius, we created the very first TV spot targeted specifically to the African-American consumer. Lots of strategy and rounds of testing went into this project, and what won out was a fun and engaging story.

OTHR was formed in the belief that we could surround ourselves with useful, beautiful and unique objects with minimal environmental impact.

OTHR collaborates with the world's leading designers to create exclusive and unique objects for the home. We develop high-quality, 3D-printed products from porcelain, steel and even precious metals. This allows for a new product to launch every two weeks. The dedication to on-demand purchasing means no warehouses or wasted resources on storage. Each item is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and numbered. 

We decided on a clean and simple website design, and UX. It allows for consumers to quickly, and easily shop for products, with simple descriptions, images, and pricing up-front. Scrolling allows for a deeper dive into each product, and seeing the development story behind each one. We also chose to break this section down into easy-to-digest content sections: Design Story, Details and Designers. The final section also features designer interviews, which are pulled from and co-curated with friendsoffriends.com — creating views and traffic for both brands/sites.

As the lead creative on this project, I juggled website and app creation along with writing two 25-minute scripts. Each script has custom soundtracks and SFX—it's literally like listening to a movie. Available on desktop, mobile or download to use with any mp3/music player.

McCafé makes things sweeter, even apologies. Hooray for night shoots, last minute script revisions and rain. However, it was all worth it to get this sweet and funny little moment on camera. 

For the new Mango-Pineapple Smoothie, McDonald's really wanted something out-of-the-box to match. So what if we could personify the party of flavors hitting your tongue? We did that and then some. Starring Joshua Allen winner of So You Think You Can Dance, and directed by THE Marcus Raboy (he made O.P.P. and other binge-worthy 90s music videos). True story.

Tokyo Slow

Tokyobike is a small, independent bicycle company founded in the quiet Tokyo suburb of Yanaka. Please welcome tokyobike to NYC and the US.

As a gearhead and cyclist, I was thrilled to work on this awesome bike brand. Along with film direction, creative direction, and writing, I even got a hand in setting up the flagship U.S. store in NYC. 

Experience the journeys of ten people who found their paths in the U.S. Army Reserve.

We interviewed soldiers from all sorts of diverse backgrounds and created an immersive website to explore their stories. With fun microcontent, snippets from journals and short videos, users got real insights into the reasons these civilians decided to become U.S. Army soldiers. For the first time people got to see soldiers alongside their lives and careers.

The the idea for Monopoly at McDonald's was simple, "everything is better when you win," but the spot was a beast to create. In our creative rounds, I had to work with feedback from 5 brands: EA Games, Wal-Mart, Nissan, Monopoly and McDonald's. The script revisions ended up in the double digits, but overall this was an amazing learning experience.

For the debut of the new McBites, McDonald's asked for something dynamic and captivating. We came up with the idea of "keep away," but with at twist. The dancers here are the originators of the “Bonebreaking Flexin” style. We found them and flew them in from Brooklyn. The spot is also directed by Director X of Drake's "Hotline Bling." True story.

We were tasked with updating "Amazing things can happen" for Reese’s Puffs. So, we decided to create a custom music track and then throw the biggest RP party evEEeeerrr.

For this shoot, we brought in Hollywood set designers and literally created an RP world. Everything was made from our notes and sketches. Then we dropped this kid from the ceiling about 15 times, and he didn't even throw up once (but it was close).
