Google: Pixel 4A launch

Google’s Pixel 4a was one of the most anticipated smartphone releases ever. Tons of new consumers wanted it and tons of die-hard Pixel owners were eagerly awaiting to upgrade. Months before the phone was even announced, leaks on social media revealed the release date, and almost every spec and feature.

In the middle of all this craziness for the brand, 2020 stepped up, said “Hold my beer!” then COVID-19 shut down the world, its supply chains and manufacturers. The release now had to be pushed back (a few times) and our fans were not happy.

So, now that Google finally had a firm release date and the entire world was under quarantine, how was the Pixel to have an exciting launch? We came up with the idea to have a 1-on-1 with our biggest fans, safely, and way more than 6 feet apart via Twitter. We were going to engage with everyone that posted about the #pixel4a, whether it was good, bad or meh.
